A small update of oldblivion is out. The fixed issues are - Alpha blend LOD water and foliage is now split into two options. With alpha blen LOD water disabled by default as it screws with some spells.
- Further tweaked presets. It now comes with high quality presets by default.
- Ambient pass is now never used when only texture pass is active. This means the game wont turn all dark on low framerates.
- Glowing runes are no longer affected by the ignore glowmaps option. Only flame atronachs and nirnroots have their glowmaps removed.
- Fixed another crash issue. Somewhat untested. Hopefully fixes this http://www.oldblivion.com/sm/index.php?topic=746.msg6932#msg6932 issue.
You can download it here http://www.oldblivion.com/download.php

I still get a couple problems :
1.) it auto updates to older version and messes everything up. 2.) The best version for me was 0.11t2 + micro's config and micro/crazydog shaders. With that version and 2.0 water shaders, the water looks like water when you're swimming underneath it (it's cloudy).
With this version, (and .011t5) even with 2.0 shaders, the same shader pack and similar config, i cannot get that cloudy water back.

Small Bug with t6, it not disassembled Water 1.1 shader.
Water001.pso at Water015.pso, WATERDISPLACE000.pso at WATERDISPLACE007.pso, WATERHMAP000.pso at WATERHMAP006.pso are no present after the launch oldblivon.
This with 'Disassembled shaders used by Oblivon' enable and 'Use 2.0 water shaders' disable.
Contrariwise the water 2.0 shader dissambled corretly when enable 'Use 2.0 water shaders' option.
After it's good change, glow maps are very good now, and sperated water to foliage alpha blend are great too. Thank for this new version

Hmm strange, I think I grabbed your latest shaders. I'll see if they're in there. Water works for me with 1.1 so they should be. I don't know why they would skip the disassembly if they're loaded.

Water 1.1 work here also but not disassembled, it's strange yes ! It's always ok, for make a code which search all shaders files that oblivion try to load, same these no presents ? It was in project? not? I wait that with impatience

I'm new to this board, so first I'd like to commend Asp for this excellent program...My Radeon 9250 PCI card wouldn't be able to handle the game without it It's a shame that BethSoft had to cheat all but those with the $400+ AGP/PCIE graphics cards out of playing the game normally (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 1.1 patch takes care of this though...) Anyway, I've tried v0.11t6, and now the characters in the game look all plastic now (i.e. the skin textures are all glassy-looking). Until this problem is addressed, I'm going to have to stick to v0.11t5 for the time being... Tim (aka the Slipperman)

What settings did you change to stop it from crashing?

I still have long load times too.
I think oblivion is running best on my system with this version.
I praise all the ones who are making this project.

With alpha blen LOD water disabled by default as it screws with some spells. Are you talking about the clear looking distant water that appears with torches and spells. Because i still have that problem

No crashes with this release for me... but I only had them on exit with t3 and t4 any way.
but is it just me or is this version "darker" than the others, even in the middle of the day it seems to be darker I dont know not a huge problem anyway.
Keep up the good work guys...
p.s. any idea if the static white noise sound I get when in a batle is an oldB prob or an OB one

OldB doesn't funk with sound, so it's Ob. Try lowering your sound acceleration. As for being darker, it's probably the new shader pack. There's a long thread about its development in hte shader forum. Are you talking about the clear looking distant water that appears with torches and spells. Because i still have that problem No, he's talking about Detect Life.

Turn of AGP fastwrites in your BIOS. I can't say that enough. Solves a ton of problems that involve PCI devices, especially sound, and you won't miss the 1/64th of F.A. performance difference. As for me, I just have the high contrast problem, but I saw the suggested fix elsewhere of disabling bloom, so I'll try that. Fire antarochs work great, I can see nimroots without a mod now. I havn't tried to see if the "fills the screen with trees" problem has vanished yet or not though. I'll have to search back through my saves to the frost glen and test it. But aside from the slower FPS, (I need to twiddle it back to good frames), this release seems good.
