Oldblivion has been lacking in the way of icons for a long time now. It's time to change that. I would like to take icon submissions from the community, the winning icons will be selected by voting after two weeks. This vote will last another week. Any artists in the community up for the challenge? Sativarg has submitted a few but I don't know if I can display them so I'll let him repost them if he wishes.
Please append any icon submissions by making a reply to this post. Attach them as a .zip file.

I would be interested in designing one but where does one find the oblivion.ico file which they can then edit( if they wish to base it off the original)

Just out of curiosity, what specifically do you need icons for?
The Config?
I'm a graphic designer, and I'd love to help ya out here (cuz I can't in the programming aspect)

Two icons to replace the ones I chose from a Creative Commons license. The main application icon (Oldblivion) and the configuration icon.

Ah yeah I should probably add. You can't use copyrighted material, this includes the Oblivion logotype.

The daedric "O" is not copyrighted(the daedric font was made by a fan than adopted/upgraded by Beth). The exact runestone look they used for the Ob icon/ads is.

The daedric font is old. According to some sites I found circa 1997. I doubt it's fan made. I guess I can allow it though since it seems to be so wide-spread.

The daedric font IS fan made. The runes in games prior to MW did not compose a complete alphabet, but a fan(can't remember who though) polished it up and made a TrueType font of it. Then Bethesda used the thing. The font used in Ob is an updated version of that one.
Note how in the original fan made font TES4 is called "Argonia"(a mod) - the logos are the digit signs.
