Oldblivion 0.11t7 is out. This version has support for the 1.1.511 patch from Bethesda. It also includes support for version 1.0.228 for those who aren't willing or able to upgrade. Another important thing to note is that it now comes bundled as an installer. This bundle contains a simple oblivion.ini file which I tweaked a little today. I'm sure there's more options which can be tweaked further but it gives me decent framerates on my Geforce 3. It also contains the spell fix by tommionu. Both of these bundles should be able to install to the correct location automatically. I've also tried to reduce the frequency of lighting pass changes in oldblivion with adaptable mode. It will now wait until you've had poor performance for a while until switching passes off. This release also uses icons from tango. I would like to have more custom icons and sativarg has given me a few. If you're interested please read http://www.oldblivion.com/sm/index.php?topic=1275.0. The only thing missing right now is probably decent documentation in the form of a .html document and of course all bugs. You can grab 0.11t7 at http://www.oldblivion.com/download.php.

Just wanted to add that out of all the testing releases this is probably the most likely one to have some form of bugs. It contains about 50 updated offsets and there's just no way for me to test them all. However I think this release along with the configuration utility is a leap forward in usability for most people.

Thanks again asp, this release so far is just brilliant, your config settings are spot on, and the "reduction of the frequency of pass changes" so far has stopped tlb from turning on during load sequences and the occasional stutter. I believe that oldblivion noobs will find this much more friendly and post less, "my oldblivion is all bright?" posts.(actual ly,im probably dreaming). With a little more testing I hope you can just rename it Oldblivion 1.1 and call it good! Huray! Now I'll start from scratch and tweak my ini for optimal performance quality on the new patch. THX a lot ASP!^^
Performance quality? I noticed no performance change by applying patch. I think it just fixed some bugs.

Nice. A few notes: - The installer will display nonsense messages if Ob is not installed.
- Since you've edited the Oldblivion.EXE for the icon anyway, why not merge the two executables as we discussed previously?
I'll test it ASAP.

I have got' to remember to read first cause now I can't find my tweeked Oblivion.InI.
I just instaled Oldblivion ALPHA VERSION 0.11t7 And bang I'm in windowed mode and all my saves are in the wrong directory cause I was using a save game organiser that stores data in my INI.
If I didn't Know what was going on I'd be all upset right now but no biggy its all fixable.
But wow, now I can use the full patch, so great and, Well, I'll sure learn to read those readme files before I just install.
I like the cool Icons and the install. I will review the options again to see what I clicked past without reading.

sati, There should have been an option when you installed which said: "Custom Oblivion.ini (backs up old)". terrigan, It's a standard NSIS installer. Last time I used Wine it was able to run them with no issues. Max, Hmm, that sounds bad. I have a check in there for the registry key. I'll look iinto it. (Not that I expect many to install without Oblivion installed )

It checks against the registry, displays an empty messagebox, then a few of "cannot create /Data/Meshes/..." It's attempting to append the path to an empty string.

Yeah I know, I saw the error in the .nsi. Apparently someone snuck in and replaced my error handling with the debug stuff and forgot to change it back.
