Lagging more Inside
« on: December 18, 2009, 10:06:21 AM »

Most of the ini tweaks are for outdoor performance.

My outdoor performance now is decent (compared to what it was before) but I need some advice indoors.
I looked up many tweaks, and most of them are for exterior graphics. Some advice for tweaking interior loading?

I'm guessing we're tweaking these stats
fLODFadeOutActorMultInterior=1.0000
fLODFadeOutItemMultInterior=1.0000
fLODFadeOutObjectMultInterior=1.0000
fLODFadeOutActorMultCity=1.0000
fLODFadeOutItemMultCity=1.0000
fLODFadeOutObjectMultCity=1.0000
fLODFadeOutActorMultComplex=1.0000
fLODFadeOutItemMultComplex=1.0000
fLODFadeOutObjectMultComplex=1.0000

but I don't know which one to tweak exactly and to higher or lower the values.

Thanks in Advance

I think the problem isn't the interior, it's the NPCs, and since NPCs are indoors most of the time, I mistaken it as indoors.

I lag near NPCs, if I'm in a big field, or a giant room with no people, I get no lag whatsoever, it's when the NPC's start appearing that start the lag.

Help please

What's your system specs again?

I'm not going to go searching for them.

For me Wiseman's Reduced Textures helped the most when it came to multi-actors on screen.

lolsack put together an OMOD if you just want to try it quickly.

Try QuietFeet Mod I guess.

Hello, me again

Tell me if you need more info,
Yes, I'm aware my computer is in Chinese...not fond of it either. ><

Current Oblivion version is 1.2

Either way, I've found out that I can turn on TLB in giant open fields, big empty buildings, but the moment an NPC or Creature appears, my frame rate drops considerably. During major battles, like Siege of Kvatch, my framerate is probably less then 1FPS.

I have used
QuietFeet
Cobra Venom Meshes
My own Ini (Much faster than all the other Ini's I've used)
and the Radeon Set.
Wiseman (I lost it after reinstalling tho, if you have the non-omod version, please send to me Cheesy thanks in advance)

If anyone knows which Ini to tweak to downgrade the NPCs and Monsters of Oblivion, please share. I've tweaked my ini to a point where I no longer lag outside or inside, I really wish I can do the same with the NPCs, thank you.

Just noticed, is your processor suppose to run at 1.6ghz? Not 1.39?

A loss of 200mhz on a already underpowered cpu pretty significant if you ask me.

You need to go into your BIOS and change your FSB and the multiplier. we need to know the CPU though.
